Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup masoor dal
  2. 2 cups water
  3. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  4. 1 tsp jeera
  5. 3 garlic cloves finely chopped
  6. salt to taste
  7. hing a pinch
  8. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  9. few curry leaves
  10. handful coriander leaves.

Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker add masoor dal or red lentil, and water to cook the dal for 3 whistle
  2. After dal is cooked, churn it well
  3. FOR TADKA :
  4. heat a wok, add oil , add mustard seeds,add jeera pinch of hing, chopped garlic cloves
  5. let the garlic cloves turn light brown in colour, add turmeric powder
  6. make sure not to burn it,
  7. Add curry leaves, add dal & salt to taste, bring dal to boil
  8. add coriander leaves and mix, bring to boil for 1 mint and cover with lid.
  9. Remove from heat.
  10. SERVE WARM.
