ABOUT Rose shaped stuffed bread RECIPE

Have used bread dough, stuffed it with spicy potatoes and rolled into a shape of rose

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For bread dough:
  2. APF 100 g
  3. WWF 50 g
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Instant yeast 1/4 tsp
  6. Milk powder 1 tbsp
  7. Olive oil 1/2 tbsp
  8. Milk plus water mixture lukewarm 1/2 cup
  9. For spicy stuffing:
  10. Boiled and smashed potatoes 2 medium size
  11. Dry Red Chillies 2
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Finely chopped green garlic 1/2 tsp
  14. Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  15. Other ingredients required:
  16. Tomato ketchup
  17. Grated processed cheese

Instructions

  1. For bread dough: Mix all the dry ingredients together
  2. Add the lukewarm milk and water mixture and knead into soft and elastic dough for atleast 10-12 mins. Keep sprinkling little oil while kneading.
  3. Place the dough in a well oiled bowl and cover it with cling film.
  4. Allow the dough to rise for an hour or till it doubles in volume.
  5. Gently punch the dough and remove air bubbles. Knead for 1-2 mins.
  6. Divide the dough into 8-10 equal parts. Roll it and keep it aside for 10 mins.
  7. While the dough is kept aside for 10 mins, prepare the stuffing. For the stuffing: Crush the two dry red chillies into chilli flakes. Use these chilli flakes for the stuffing. Mix all the ingredients as shown in the pic
  8. Make 8-10 small balls of the stuffing.
  9. Now roll the dough in circle shape.
  10. Make four cuts at 90° leaving the centre part intact. Apply ketchup place the stuffing on the centre which is intact and sprinkle grated cheese over it.
  11. Now cover the stuffing with one of the four parts. Then cover and seal it properly with the opposite part to the one which was covered first. Refer the picture attached
  12. Similarly one by one cover the other two remaining parts leaving the centre a bit open.
  13. Place all the stuffed bread rolls in baking tray ( place a butter paper above the tray and then place the rolls) and brush them with milk and melted butter. Sprinkle white til on it.
  14. Bake them for 25 mins in a pre-heated oven at 180°C. They will turn golden brown when ready!
  15. Serve the rolls with ketchup or chutney of your choice
