My son hates Broccoli. Broccoli is rich in Vitamins and nutrients so I try various ways to make it tasty.This recipie is so tasty that my son loves it and easy way to make kids eat broccoli

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 3 tbsp corn flour
  2. 3tbsp Maida
  3. 1/2 medium sized broccoli
  4. Salt and pepper to taste
  5. 1/4 tsp red chili powder
  6. 1 tsp Grated ginger
  7. Water as required
  8. oil for frying
  9. For Gravy: 1 onion cubed
  10. 1/2 cup capsicum and red yellow bell pepper cubed
  11. 1 tbsp oil
  12. 1/2 tsp Grated Ginger
  13. For Sauce
  14. 1.5 tbsp Soy sauce
  15. 1 tbsp tomato chili sauce
  16. 1 tsp green chili sauce
  17. 1/2 tsp red chili sauce
  18. 1.5 tbsp corn flour
  19. 1 tsp vinegar
  20. Salt and pepper to taste
  21. 2 tbsp spring onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour salt pepper ginger red chili powder, add water to form smooth batter . Add broccoli and coat well with the batter
  2. Heat oil in a wok. Fry broccoli until golden brown.Allow excess oil to be absorbed by absorbent towel. Keep it aside
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add ginger onion , capsicum bell pepper. Saute it for few minutes. Add little salt and pepper.Mix well.
  4. Meanwhile prepare sauces mentioned under sauce list including corn flour and vinegar in a separate bowl.You can always adjust the sauces as per taste Now add sauces to the vegetables in the pan. Add 1 cup water. Mix well.
  5. Cover and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until gravy starts thickening. Add broccoli and mix well. Simmer for a minute and switch off
  6. Garnish with spring onion.Serve hot with Hakka noodles or fried rice
