Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 4 Bread slices (I have used whole wheat bread)
  2. 5 cups full cream milk
  3. 1 cup sugar syrup, --- prepared by boiling 1 cup sugar and half cup water to a single strand consistency.
  4. Ghee for shallow frying
  5. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
  6. 2 teaspoons sugar for milk
  7. 2 teaspoons thick fresh cream
  8. 2 teaspoons milkmaid condensed milk
  9. 10 fresh strawberries sliced
  10. 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions

  1. Drizzle honey on strawberry slices and keep in refrigerator.
  2. Trim the edges of bread slices and cut roundels with the help of a cookie cutter or a lid of a container.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan and shallow fry the bread roundels.
  4. Flip them over and fry until light brown and crisp.
  5. Drain on absorbent paper
  6. To make rabdi bring milk to boil, reduce heat and simmer for ten minutes, stirring continuously or until the quantity is reduced to half.
  7. Add sugar and continue to simmer for five minutes, stirring continuously.
  8. Remove from flame and cool it .
  9. When milk has cooled down, add fresh cream, milkmaid and half teaspoon vanilla essence.
  10. Next dip fried bread pieces in sugar syrup and place bread pieces on a serving dish.
  11. Now pour chilled creamy rabdi on top, place strawberry slices and Serve chilled
  12. Enjoy
