Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup Maava (khoya)
  2. 1/2 cup milk powder
  3. 1/2 cup powder sugar
  4. 2 tsp pure ghee
  5. 1 1/2 tsp almond powder
  6. 1 1/2 tsp cashew nut powder
  7. 1 tsp of lemon juice
  8. A dash of salt
  9. 1/2 cup powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Take a deep pan and pour the ghee. When the ghee melts, add maava in it and simmered it on low flame till maava colour changes.
  2. When maava colour is starting to change, add milk powder, almond and cashew nut powder mix it well.
  3. After mixing the powder, add lemon juice and a dash of salt. Just to cut the extra sweetness.
  4. Continue stirring on a low flame.
  5. When the maava leaves the sides of the pan, turn off the gas and let it sit for a few seconds.
  6. When it slightly cools start making peda. Be careful because it will be hot.
  7. When all pedas are made, take a bowl with powdered sugar and coat the peda with it. Now traditional maava peda is ready to serve.
