Khurme are made with many different ways but hear i am sharing Halwai secret of making flaky khurme.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. All purpose flour 2 cup
  2. Baking powder 1/4 teaspoon
  3. ghee 1/2 cup
  4. sugar 1 cup
  5. Water 1/2 cup
  6. Cardamon 4
  7. Saffron 1 pinch
  8. Chopped pistachio 4 tablespoon
  9. ghee for deep-frying

Instructions

  1. Take a big mixing bowl add all propose flour ,ghee and baking powder
  2. Mix all ingredients and add warm water make like soft dough.Don't knead only mix very well and Set it aside for 30 minutes.
  3. Spread this mixture and fold
  4. Repeat this process 4 to 5 times
  5. Now roll 1/2 inch thick roti using rolling pin
  6. Cut khurme in rectangle shape
  7. Heat ghee in a pan and fry all khurme in low flame
  8. When khurme become golden color take out from ghee
  9. Now make sugar syrup take a pan add sugar , crushed cardamon and water
  10. Add saffron
  11. Make 1 thread sugar syrup
  12. Dip khurme in sugar syrup for 10 minutes
  13. After 10 minutes take out khurme form sugar syrup and cote with Chopped pistachios
  14. Now layered khasta khurme ready for serve
