ABOUT Buckwheat Pinwheels RECIPE

This is a rich flavour Pinwheel and the most important is you can enjoy them in Fasting too

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 cup buckwheat flour
  2. 1/2 medium boiled potato
  3. 1/4 tsp salt
  4. 1 tbsp Sugar
  5. 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  6. 1/2 medium sized Apple
  7. Tamarind Chutney to serve
  8. Oil for deep fry

Instructions

  1. Chop the apple into small pieces
  2. Heat a pan and add apples into it
  3. Cook them till tender and add cinnamon,sugar
  4. Cook till most of the liquid has evaporated off
  5. Remove from the heat and cool down
  6. Now knead the dough with flour , potato and salt
  7. Divide the dough into equal sized balls
  8. Place a cling film onto a pastry board and put a dough ball
  9. Roll out into an oval shape and put the apple filing onto it
  10. Now with the help of cling film roll it very nicely with firm hands
  11. Make it a little tighter roll , repeat the process for all dough balls
  12. Take out the rolls from cling film
  13. Heat oil for deep fry
  14. Now slide the rolls into it and fry them on low to medium flame so that they get cooked properly
  15. When done cut them into small rolls
  16. Pour some Tamarind Chutney on them and enjoy
