ABOUT Cheesy Protein Pasta RECIPE

A simple cheesy pasta dish made with melon seeds and mallacan spice blend and colorful capsicum. Kids will surely love this dish. The protein source is from cheese, milk and the melon seeds used in this recipe. So both the nutrition and taste are taken care of!!

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Whole wheat Pasta - 1 cup
  2. Melon seeds - 3 tablespoons
  3. Sprig Mallacan SpiceBlend - 3 tablespoons [ adjust to taste]
  4. Multi colored capsicum -1/4 each, finely chopped
  5. Finely chopped ginger and garlic - 1 teaspoon each
  6. Amul cheese cubes - 2
  7. Corn flour 2 teaspoons
  8. Milk-1/4 cup
  9. Salt to taste
  10. oil - 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Soak the melon seeds in warm water for 10-15 minutes
  2. Mix milk and corn flour without lumps and keep aside.[Corn Slurry]
  3. Meanwhile cook the pasta according to the directions on the pack. Drain and keep aside.
  4. Drain the pumpkin seeds and blend to a fine paste along with the Sprig Mallacan spice blend.Keep aside
  5. Heat oil in a pan and add the ginger garlic paste, chopped capsicum and saute for a couple of minutes.
  6. Reduce the heat and add the corn slurry and mix well so that there are no lumps.
  7. Add the ground paste and a little water if needed.Add salt
  8. Put in the cooked pasta and mix to combine.
  9. Finally add grated cheese and give it a stir.
  10. Serve hot / warm garnished with a dash of Sprig mallacan spice blend, chopped coriander / spring onion leaves.
