ABOUT Up side down onion potato cheesy savoury cake RECIPE

This is the best way to present a potato side dish to those u love and want to impress . Baking the dish in a hot oven which caremelize the top or which should be the top of the onion potato savoury cake . I made it with SPRIG Cyracuse spice blend, which add an intense earthy quality with punchy heat of chilli and nutmeg and both kind of cheese give it a complex bite .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Onion sliced 1
  2. Potato sliced 6
  3. SPRIG Cyracuse spice blend 2table spoon
  4. Oregano 1teaspoon
  5. Blackpepper 1teaspoon
  6. Grated parmessan cheese 1/2cup
  7. Grated chedder cheese 1/2cup
  8. Olive oil 3table spoon
  9. Red chilli flakes 1teaspoon
  10. Garlic salt to taste
  11. Sugar 2pinches

Instructions

  1. Preheated oven to 220 ℃
  2. Take sliced potatoes in a big bowl .
  3. Add oregano seasoning .
  4. Add chilli flakes in it.
  5. Add cyracuse spice blend in it
  6. Add olive oil in it
  7. Add black pepper and garlic salt in it
  8. Mix well and keep aside for 20 minutes.
  9. Now take onion slices and apply olive oil on them.
  10. rub cyracuse spice blend on them with sugar and garlic salt .
  11. Now take a tart pan apply oil in it .
  12. Now put onion slices in the tart tin .
  13. Now place potato slices on the onion slices be sure that all potato slices overlapped each other .
  14. Now mix both cheese and sprinkle a good amount of cheese on potato slices and cover them
  15. Now place second layer of potato and cover the cheese .
  16. Now place left over cheese on the top of potato layer .
  17. Place the tin in a preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes. Or till golden brown .
  18. Now your savoury cake is ready .
  19. Turn upside down to serve .
  20. Serve hot .
