I many times make Leftover Khichadi Thepala. So when planning for kids I need to add more Nutrition in it. So I cooked mixed daal with added vegetables. I made Stuffing of daal. I added cooked Rice to wheat flour and made Stuffed Parathas.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For stuffing
  2. Moong daal 2 tbsp
  3. Toor daal 2 tbsp
  4. Masoor daal 2 tbsp
  5. Chana daal 2 tbsp
  6. Different vegetables chopped ( bottle gourd, Potato, Spinach, Onion,) 1 1 /2 cup
  7. Garlic crushed 1 tsp
  8. Ginger grated 1 tsp
  9. Dhania powder 2 tsp
  10. chilli powder 1 tsp
  11. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  12. Sesame seeds roasted 2 tbsp
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Oil 2 tsp
  15. Kasoori Methi 1 tsp
  16. Coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tbsp
  17. For outer cover( Paratha)
  18. Rice cooed 3/4 Cup
  19. Wheat flour 1 1/2 cup
  20. Salt to taste
  21. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  22. Ajwain 1 tsp
  23. Chilli powder 1 /2 tsp
  24. Oil 2 tsp
  25. Butter/ oil for shallow frying.

Instructions

  1. Cook daal with chopped vegetables
  2. Add minimum required amount of water. Cook and let cool a while.
  3. Cook the rice and transfer in a plate to cool
  4. Now heat oil in a pan, add Cooked daal and vegetable mixture. Mash it with a potato masher.
  5. Add grated ginger and crushed garlic.
  6. Add all masala mentioned. Saute for 2 minutes and transfer in a plate to cool. Roast Kasoori methi, crush between your palms and add.
  7. Now transfer cooled Rice in a plate. Take wheat flour too. Add Salt, chilli, turmeric and oil.
  8. Knead flour by mashing rice with your fingers.
  9. Cover the flour and keep aside.
  10. Make stuffing baals from Daal and vegetable mixture. Roll a roti from kneaded flour.
  11. Put Stuffing over it.
  12. Cover and make a big Stuffed ball.
  13. Roll your Stuffed Paratha carefully with soft hand.
  14. Heat a griddle and roast your Paratha by applying butter / oil.
  15. Roast both sides well.
  16. Serve your kids with a glass full of Hot Chocolate or his favorite Milk shakes.
  17. Let your kid enjoy A One Plate Healthy dish
