Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Quinoa 1/2 cup
  2. Milk 1 cup + 1 1/2 cup + 1 cup.
  3. Water 1 cup
  4. Dates 10 to 12( I used Kimya dates)
  5. Cardemom powder 1/ 2 tsp
  6. Ghee 2 tsp
  7. Dry fruits blanched and chopped 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Rinse Quinoa two to three times. Strain in a colander.
  2. Heat Ghee in a pan. Add rinsed quinoa. Saute for 2 to 3 minutes or till you get a nice aroma of it.
  3. Add 1 cup warm milk to it. Stir a little.
  4. Add half cup of warm water.
  5. Now lower the flame, cover the pan and let cook for 15 minutes or till quinoa becomes soft.
  6. Till that take some dates and de seed them.
  7. Now put them in mixer jar, add one tbsp of milk and blend to smooth paste.
  8. Now check your quinoa . They have become soft till now. If not and you feel that they become more dry, add some warm milk.
  9. After Quinoa gets cooked well, Add 1 1/2 cup of milk to it.
  10. Mix everything well and let milk and quinoa cook together for 7 to 8 minutes more. Stir in between so it won't stick to the bottom.
  11. Now add blended dates in it.
  12. Let it simmer for a while and then add chopped dry fruits.
  13. Your Yummy Healthy Kheer is ready to serve.
  14. Serve with garnish of dry fruits.
