ABOUT Nutty Wheat Ladoos RECIPE

Ladoo or laddu is one of the popular sweets prepared during festivals in India. Earlier I had prepared rava ladoo and coconut mewa ladoo.Today I have prepared these nutty whole wheat ladoos, where I have used powdered cashew nuts mixed with whole wheat atta(flour) to give it more taste.This recipe is simple and quick. So let’s start with it.

Ingredients Serving: 20

  1. Whole wheat flour- 1 1/2 Cups(200 Grams)
  2. Cashew Nuts- 1/3 Cup(43 Grams)
  3. White Granulated Sugar- 3/4 Cup (150 Grams)
  4. Ghee/Clarified Butter- 1/2 Cup(115 Grams)
  5. Cardamom powder- 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Dry roast cashew nuts on a skillet on medium flame for 2-3 mins. Remove and keep aside for cooling.Once cools down, grind it to fine powder.
  2. On the same skillet, dry roast flour on low flame till it changes color . Don’t burn it.This will take 5-10 mins.
  3. Once you get nice aroma of roasted flour, switch off the stove and keep aside till it cools down completely.
  4. Add sugar, cardamom powder and cashew nuts powder in the flour and mix well. Microwave ghee for 3-4 mins or until it is smoky hot.
  5. Pour over the flour mixture and mix well.Grease your palm with some ghee. Enjoy the festival with these delicious and healthy ladoos.
  6. When the mixture is still warm, make ladoos by taking a golf ball size mixture on your palm and give it round ball shape.Repeat for all.
  7. Once the ladoos cool down completely, store them in the airtight container.

hi . can't we roast the wheat flour along with the ghee.
