Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Basmati Rice soaked in water 2 cups
  2. Peas 3/4 cup
  3. Onions chopped 2
  4. Onions fried 5
  5. Tej patta [bay leaf] 1
  6. Elaichi 3
  7. Badi elaichi 1
  8. Chakra phool 1
  9. Javitri 1
  10. Jeera 1 tsp
  11. Haldi powder [turmeric powder] 1 tsp
  12. Green chillies chopped
  13. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  14. Fresh Dahi 1/2 cup
  15. biryani masala 1 tbsp
  16. Salt to taste
  17. Dry fruits as per choice
  18. Oil 3 tbsp
  19. Kharbooja beeja [melon seeds] few

Instructions

  1. Soak Rice and peas separately in water for around half an hour.
  2. Now take a pan.. Add in oil..and all the khada Masala..like jeera, tej patta,elaichi,chakra phool,javitri..
  3. Let khade masale release their Flavours..
  4. Now add in green chillies and onions..
  5. Let onions cook and turn pinkish.. Now switch of flame.. And add in haldi mixed with dahi..
  6. Continuously stir in..so that dahi doesn't curdle.. Add in a cup of water.
  7. Switch on gas and add in Rice and peas .
  8. Cover it with lid and cook till done . Add in all the seasoning..
  9. At last add in biryani Masala..
  10. Stir it well and slowly so that Rice don't break.
  11. Deep fry onions till golden brown.. Mix few onions into Rice while few on top for garnish..
  12. Add in your choice of dryfruits like.. Cashews,almonds,currants,kharbooja beeja etc....
  13. Serve hot..
