My mother's secret recipe of Magic pickle.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mango -1 Raw, grated
  2. Whole dhania - Roasted, 1 tbsp
  3. Ajwain - 1 Pinch
  4. Jaggery - As per taste (I put around 3 to 4 tbsp)
  5. Oil - 2-3 tbs
  6. Curry leaves - A few
  7. Zeera - 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Grate the mango and jaggery.
  2. Dry roast whole dhania and ajwain and coarsely grind it in mortar and pestle.
  3. Heat oil, add zeera, curry leaves, roasted dhania and mix well. Add chilli powder, mango an jaggery.
  4. Mix well and let the mango cook in the melted jaggery. If it's sticking to pan add a little water but keep flame low.
  5. Turn off the gas when nicely cooked. Serve with theplas, parathas, dal chawal etc. It stays for a week in the fridge.
