ABOUT Tawa Qeema RECIPE

This is an emergency dish that comes to my rescue each time guests pop in without prior intimation. Hence i call it an emergency dish. Made so very easily and with all the things that are commonly available in any pantry. The only thing is that you should have the mince in your freezer. The best part is that one can even use chicken mince for this same recipe and the only difference being the considerable decrease in the cook time. Try out this yummy tawa qeema and let me know how you impressed your guests.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mince mutton - 1/2 kg
  2. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
  3. Pepper Cubeba (tailed pepper) powder - 1 tsp
  4. Black pepper powder - 1 tbsp or Black pepper corns, crushed - 12
  5. Salt - 1 tsp
  6. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  7. Crushed coriander - 1 tbsp
  8. Oil - 2-3 tbsp
  9. Coriander, finely chopped - a handful

Instructions

  1. Wash the mince meat well and drain the water. Marinate with the ginger garlic paste and salt for 10 minutes.
  2. In a non stick pan, heat the oil. Add the partially crushed coriander first and then the other spices.Saute on a low flame for just half a minute.
  3. Add the mince mutton to it and mix well.
  4. On a medium flame, keep stirring it every now and then so that it does not stick to the pan. As it is mince mutton, it is done in a matter of 15-18 mins.
  5. The mince is done when the raw smell fades away and a lovely aroma fills up the home.
  6. Garnish with finely chopped coriander. Serve this tawa qeema with butter naan.
