ABOUT Chick Peas Pickle RECIPE

This s my grandmom's recipe.This pickle made of chickpeas & green mango.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Chickpeas 150 grams
  2. Green mango 600 grams
  3. Vinegar 2cups
  4. Turmeric powder 1tablespoon
  5. Red chilli powder 2tablespoon
  6. Fennel seed powder 5 tablespoon
  7. Fenugreek seed powder 1tsp
  8. Mustard powder 1tablespoon
  9. Salt 1tablespoon
  10. Oil 2cups

Instructions

  1. First, soak chick peas in a big bowl in sufficient water for minimum 10 hours
  2. Then drain out peas from water
  3. Take a kitchen towel and wipe them to dry
  4. Now take a big bowl add vinegar in it and soak peas in it for 10 hours
  5. Meanwhile, take a wok add oil in it and heat the oil ..when smoke is coming out from the oil ..switch off the flame and keep aside.
  6. Now drain all peas from the vinegar and put them in a big bowl
  7. Now peel green mango and grate them
  8. Add green grated mango in the peas bowl .
  9. Mix all spices in the peas and mango mixture
  10. Now add cooled oil approximately 5 table spoon.
  11. Mix well and put in a glass container.
  12. Add left over oil in it .put the lid on the jar .and keep in sun for 14 -15 days.
  13. Your chick peas pickle is now ready to eat.
  14. You can store it for 1 to2 years.
