ABOUT Palak Alu with Tomato RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 kg - palak/ spinach chopped
  2. 1 large - potato cubed
  3. 1 small- onion minced
  4. 1/2 tsp- ginger garlic minced
  5. 1 large- tomato chopped
  6. 2- green chillies minced
  7. 1 tsp- jeera sabut
  8. 1/2 tsp - hing
  9. 1/2 tsp- turmeric powder
  10. 2 tsp- coriander powder
  11. 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
  12. Salt to taste
  13. 1 tbsp - mustard oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in wok
  2. Add jeera, hing and minced onion
  3. Saute till brownish in color
  4. Add the ginger garlic mined
  5. Saute for 5 minutes
  6. Add the potatoes and cook on slow flame
  7. Till semi cooked
  8. Now add the tomatoes
  9. Saute for 5 minutes
  10. Add the masalas
  11. Now add the palak..
  12. Cook on medium flame for 5 minutes
  13. Adjust spices and salt
  14. Switch off the gas
  15. Serve hot with phulkas
