ABOUT Masala Prawn RECIPE

Prawn or Shrimp is excellent and delicious seafood next to fish. It takes a little time to cook. You can try it for dinner or party as a main course. Speciality of this recipe is use of lot of spices and smoked prawns instead of fried.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 4 king prawn, head and tail intact.
  2. 2 medium sized onions paste
  3. 2 tablespoons garlic paste
  4. 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  5. 1 tablespoon green chilli paste
  6. 1 teaspoon grind cinnamon
  7. 3 tablespoons refined oil or peanut oil
  8. 2 teaspoons chilli flakes
  9. 2 teaspoons turmeric powder
  10. 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  11. 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  12. 2 tablespoons red chilli sauce
  13. 2 teaspoons soya sauce
  14. 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  15. 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  16. 1 teaspoon ghee
  17. 1 teaspoon honey
  18. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the prawns with turmeric powder, salt, red chilli sauce and soya sauce for 10 minutes.
  2. Take a non-stick pan and heat the oil. Add grind cinnamon.
  3. Add onions paste, ginger-garlic paste and green chilli paste. Saute at low heat.
  4. Add chilli flakes, red chilli sauce, soya sauce and mix.
  5. Add all the masala powder and tomato sauce. Mix well.
  6. Now add some water and gently place the marinated prawns into it and cover.
  7. When the gravy is thick add ghee and garam masala powder.
  8. Serve hot with rice.
