ABOUT Creamy Green Soup with yoghurt RECIPE

This soup is made up of spinach, spring onion and basil leaves with hung curd.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Spinach washed and chopped 1 cup
  2. Spring onion washed and chopped 1/2 cup
  3. Basil leaves chopped and washed 1/2 cup
  4. Onion chopped 1 small
  5. Garlic pods 2 chopped
  6. Ginger minced 1/4 tsp
  7. Salt for taste
  8. Chilli powder 1/4 tsp
  9. Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  10. Dried oregano a pinch
  11. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  12. Curry powder 1/4 tsp
  13. Hung curd 3 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat a tsp oil
  2. Add chopped onion
  3. Fry until translucent
  4. Add ginger and garlic
  5. Saute for 2_3 mins
  6. Add turmeric powder
  7. Add chilli powder
  8. Also add curry powder and salt
  9. Now add all the chopped green leaves
  10. Saute lightly for 3_4 mins
  11. Add 2 cups of water
  12. Now cover and cook for 10 mins
  13. Switch off gas and let it cooled down for 15 mins
  14. Now pulse in the blender for 5_6 mins
  15. Add hung curd and pulse again for 1_2 mins
  16. Now pour in soup bowls and heat for 1_2 mins
  17. Garnish with chopped green onions and oregano
  18. Serve hot
