ABOUT A new version of Ivy Gourd.( Tindola). RECIPE

Ivy gourd Steamed with dried Coconut, Gram flour, Coriander leaves, Sesame seeds, Roasted ground nuts, Dhania powder Chilli powder and other masala and seasoned with sauted Tomato. .

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Ivy gourd 150 grms.
  2. Coconut grated 2 tbsp ( heaped).
  3. Gram flour 1 tbsp
  4. Chopped Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  5. Dhania powder 2 tsp
  6. chilli powder 1 tsp
  7. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  8. Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  9. Roasted ground Peanuts 2 tsp
  10. Garlic crushed 1 tsp
  11. Sesame seeds roasted 2 tsp
  12. Tomato finely chopped 1 ( big)
  13. Salt to taste.
  14. Oil 3 tsp
  15. Asafoetida and mustard seeds for seasoning.

Instructions

  1. Wash, chop and take put Ivy gourd in metal sieve
  2. Roast grated coconut
  3. Let ot cool, add chopped coriander leaves, Roasted gram flour, pea nuts, Sesame seeds and all masala
  4. Add 1 tsp oil, adjust salt. Mix Ivy gourd with all the masala mix
  5. Pressure cook for 3 whistles or steam till cooked
  6. Heat oil in a pan. Add asafoetida, mustard seeds, let it crackle.
  7. Now add chopped tomato.
  8. Cook and mix well. Sprinkle a handful of water to avoid burning.
  9. Add cooked Ivy gourd and mix gently. Its ready to serve
  10. Serve with chapati and kadhi.
