ABOUT Instant Cardamom Peda RECIPE

I usually tend to favor recipes which have condensed milk in it, since, I’m mostly time crunched and this is why I go for these easy to make these Microwave Cardamom Peda whenever I have unannounced friends showing up or whenever, I need a sugar fix. These are great for gifting to family and friends and they store well as well.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 2 cups dry milk powder
  2. 1 stick Butter/ 8 Tbsp Butter
  3. 1 cup condensed milk
  4. 1 Tbsp finely ground Cardamom Powder
  5. Few drops of yellow color
  6. Silver bark (optional), Chopped Pistachios for garnishing

Instructions

  1. In a microwave proof big bowl add butter (room temperature), milk powder and condensed milk and heat for 1 minute
  2. Take the bowl out, add the cardamom powder and stir the mixture well Heat it again for 1 more minute.
  3. Repeat this process for 5 to 6 times and every time you take out the bowl from the microwave, stir the mixture vigorously.
  4. After the 6th time, the mixture should have a nice texture to it and would be beginning to leave the sides.
  5. You know the mixture is ready when you take a small ball out of it and roll with your palms and if it rolls up easily without sticking to your palms, you know that, the mixture is ready.
  6. If it still sticks to your palms then heat the mixture again for a minute.
  7. Let it cool down for 15 to 20 mins. Put some butter or Ghee in your palms and Make them into ball rolling between your palms.
  8. Make a dent into the peda. Garnish them with pistachios and silver leaf.
