This is one of my own experiment. An easy, delicious halwa .

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Tapioca - 1 Medium size
  2. Sweet potato -1
  3. Sugar - 1 cup
  4. Milk - 1 cup
  5. Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  6. Kesar Colour - a pinch
  7. Water for sugar syrup - 1/2 cup
  8. Cashews - 10
  9. Ghee - 1 tbsp or more as required.

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook Tapioca, Sweet Potato with the skin for 5 whistles.
  2. Cool & Peel off the skin
  3. Whip for a few seconds in the mixie along with a cup of milk to a smooth paste.
  4. Heat a cup of sugar along with little water until sugar dissolves and becomes slightly thick.
  5. Add a pinch of kesar colour, cardamom powder and then the ground paste.
  6. Stir continuously and add a little ghee
  7. When it leaves sides of the pan, transfer to a container.
  8. Garnish with fried cashews.
