Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Whole Ragi- 1/4 cup
  2. Idly rice- 1 cup
  3. Urad dal- 1/4 cup
  4. Leftover idli or Dosa batter - 1 tablespoon
  5. Methi seeds - 1 tbsp
  6. Water for soaking
  7. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by washing the idli rice,ragi and methi seeds thoroughly and soak it in water for about 3-4 hours
  2. Do the same with urad dal separately
  3. After 4 hours,grind urad dal first until it becomes white and fluffy
  4. Pour it into a bowl
  5. Then grind idli rice, ragi and methi in the blender.
  6. Mix both the batters well along with salt and leftover idli or Dosa batter
  7. Let the batter rest overnight or for about 7-8 hours
  8. The batter is then ready for making crisp and tasty ragi dosas
