ABOUT Jhinge Posto (Turai Posto ) RECIPE

This veggie is prepared with ridge gourd as the main ingredient. Goes well with aam daal and rice, during summers.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 50 grams posto( khuskhus) soaked and made into a paste with water.
  2. 500 grams jhinge ( Turai, ridge gourd)
  3. 2 potatoes cubed into small pieces
  4. 2 green chillies
  5. 2 teaspoons mustard oil
  6. Salt to taste.

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a kadhai.
  2. Put in the green chillies , potatoes and the turai( jhinge) stir well.
  3. Add the salt and cover and cook for sometime.
  4. Add the posto paste and mix well.
  5. Add little water to help it all come together.
  6. Cook until done.
  7. Serve with the ultimate combination of rice and Aam daal.
