ABOUT Paneeer Sandwich RECIPE

Sandwich stuffed with Paneer-mint pakodas, green chutney n sauce. Yummy and flavourful, ideal for a heavy breakfast. I used to prepare paneer-mint pakoras many times for my kids. Once I thought to prepare sandwiches with pakoras ( like a burger ) and it became superhit in my house.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Brown bread slices 8
  2. Tomato sauce as required
  3. Gram flour ( Besan ) 1 cup
  4. Red chilly powder 1/2 tsp
  5. Water 3/4 cup
  6. Paneer 200 gm ( uncubed paneer )
  7. For Chutney :-
  8. Coriander leaves 1 1/2 cup
  9. Mint leaves 1 cup
  10. 2 green chillies ( or adjust according to ur taste )
  11. Garlic Pods 2
  12. 1 small onion chopped
  13. Little water
  14. Sugar 1 tsp
  15. Lemon juice 1 tsp
  16. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a grinder add all ingredients listed under heading- For chutney and grind to a fine green chutney.
  2. Taste for salt and keep aside.
  3. Take paneer.
  4. Cut it into 2 equal parts.
  5. Spread chutney on the first slice of paneer
  6. Cover it with the second slice of paneer and cut it into big square cubes
  7. In a small voke add gram flour (besan), red chilly pwd, salt. Mix nicely and add water little by little to make a thick batter ( as we prepare for Potato bhajiyas cover ). Stir well.
  8. Heat oil in a kadhai. Dip paneer cubes in the batter and deep fry. Paneer-mint pakoras are ready.
  9. We are using these pakoras as a stuffing for sandwiches.
  10. Take 2 slices of bread. Spread 2 tsp green chutney on first bread, Put 2 pakoras on it. Then Spread 2 tsp Tomato sauce on second bread and place it on pakoras.
  11. Grill the sandwich from both sides on the hot griller or in a hot pan till golden brown in colour
  12. Slice it into two and serve with sauce.
