Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For strips :
  2. 1 cup whole wheat flour
  3. 1 tbsp oil
  4. 1 tsp oregano
  5. 1 tsp red chilly flakes
  6. Salt a pinch
  7. Oil for frying
  8. water to knead dough
  9. For the salsa :
  10. 2 medium sized tomato, cut into small pieces
  11. 1 orange, peeled, deseeded and cut into small pieces
  12. 1 medium sized onion cut into small pieces
  13. 1 tsp Oregano
  14. 1 tsp chilly flakes
  15. 1 tsp Salt
  16. 1 tsp chaat masala
  17. Pinch of black paper
  18. Handful Finely chopped corriender leaves
  19. Wheat flour for rolling

Instructions

  1. Take wheat flour in a bowl, add oregano, chilly flakes, Salt and oil in it and mix well.
  2. Now make a stiff dough using water as needed.
  3. Divide the dough with 5 equal portions.
  4. Make a chapati with each portion by using dry flour and prick the chapati with the help of fork.
  5. Now cut the chapati into strips.
  6. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the strips on medium heat till crisp and keep aside.
  7. Now prepare salsa by mixing orange, onion and tomato in a bowl.
  8. Mix oregano, chilli flakes, salt, black pepper and chaat masala and toss well to mix properly.
  9. Lastly add coriander leaves, mix it and salsa is ready.
  10. Serve with wheat flour strips and enjoy.
