ABOUT Biscuit Islands in Apple Sea RECIPE

Children love sweet snacks and prefer anything new to eat. This recipe is not only nutritious but will make the child eat fruit and have milk. The Biscuit "Islands" provide additional benefits!

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For the Apple Sea :
  2. 2 ripe Apples
  3. 2 cups Milk
  4. 2 Tbsp Cornflour
  5. 4 tbsp sugar
  6. 1 tsp vanilla/butterscotch essence (optional)
  7. For the Biscuit Islands :
  8. 4 Glucose/Marie/Digestive biscuits
  9. 1 tbsp Butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Islands : Powder the biscuits in a coffee or dry grinder and take out on a plate. Mix the melted butter and form into balls. They roll easily. Refrigerate till serving time.
  2. For the Apple Sea : Peel and core one Apple and blend into a puree with 3 tbsp milk. Mix 1/4 cup cold milk with the cornflour and keep aside. Heat the remaining milk and bring to a boil.
  3. Add the cornflour slurry and stir till thick. Add sugar and keep aside to cool to room temperature. Mix in the puree and essence (if using).
  4. To serve : Core and slice the other Apple. Take a small but deep plate and arrange Apple slices on the sides. Pour 1/4 cup of the Apple Sea and place 2 - 3 Biscuit Islands in the middle. Serve immediately.
