ABOUT Stuffed Lauki Tava fry RECIPE

Crispy yet soft Lauki stuffed with potato Masala and tava fried. Healthy and yummy!

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 medium sized Lauki / bottle gourd
  2. 1 big potato or 2 small ones boiled and mashed
  3. 2 tbsp chilli powder
  4. 1 TBSP TURMERIC POWDER
  5. 1 tbsp coriander powder
  6. 1/2 tsp hing
  7. Finely chopped coriander leaves
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 4 tbsp find rava
  10. 1 tbsp Rice Flour

Instructions

  1. Mash the boiled potatoes, add 1 tbsp chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric, coriander leaves, salt and keep aside
  2. Mix the rava with rice flour, chilli powder, hing and salt
  3. Peel and cut the lauki into roundels
  4. Scoop out the center portion to make a hole.
  5. Add the potato stuffing in the center and press from both sides to the level of the lauki
  6. Roll this in the rava mixture
  7. Heat a Tava coated with oil.
  8. Place the roundels on this and fry on a low flame with occasionally sprinkling some water. Flip once the side is cooked.
  9. Serve it hot with dal and rice
