ABOUT Ghee Cake RECIPE

This is inspired from a bakery called Cochin bakery in Calicut

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Flour-100 grams
  2. Ghee-60 grams
  3. egg-1
  4. Malai/Fresh Cream-50 Grams
  5. Baking Powder-1/2 tsp
  6. Caster Sugar-90 grams

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees C. Line a Loaf Tin or a 6-inch Round Tin with Parchment Paper.
  2. Beat Sugar, Ghee and Cream till light and Fluffy for 3-4 Minutes.
  3. Now add the egg and beat again for further 2 minutes
  4. Sieve in the flour and baking powder into this and fold. Ensure its mixed well.
  5. Transfer to the cake tin and bake for 30 minutes or till a skewer comes out clean. Bake at 160 degrees.
