ABOUT Cranberry Rolls And Balls RECIPE

When I first tasted cranberries immediately I got this spicy combination in my mind.when we were kids we use to eat tangy fruits with salt and pepper.So I made this spicy, tangy jam with cranberries.I made bread rolls and bread paniyarams with the same.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Cranberries – 1/4 cup.
  2. Onion – 1
  3. Oil – 1 tsp
  4. Salt – as required
  5. Chilli powder – 1 tsp
  6. Water – 4 tsp
  7. Bread slices – 2

Instructions

  1. To make jam, Chop onion to small pieces.
  2. In a wide kadai heat oil, add onion and fry till dark brown.
  3. Then add chilli powder, salt and fry for a minute.
  4. Then add chopped cranberries , water and boil till the mixture forms thick jam.
  5. To make bread rolls, Take a bread slice and using your rolling pin, roll it flat.
  6. Take a spoonful of cranberry jam and place it on one side of bread slice and roll it tight
  7. Heat tawa and spread two drops of ghee , place the bread roll over the tawa and fry it till golden brown , keep turning the roll for even frying.
  8. Remove from flame and dizzle some honey and enjoy.
  9. To make Bread Cranberry Paniyaram, take a slice of bread and sprinkle few drops of milk on the bread.
  10. Then roll the bread to medium sized ball and place the jam in centre of bread and close the ball.
  11. Heat paniyaram pan and spread few drops of oil and place the balls gently.
  12. Boil in medium flame till the balls turn brown , flip to cook the other side.
  13. Remove from flame and enjoy hot.
