ABOUT Leek Pakodas/Leek Fritters RECIPE

If you love loads of onions in pakodas, am sure you will definitely love the leek loaded fritters. Once I finished frying, we went on munching this fritters as they were dangerously addictive.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups Leeks (chopped)
  2. 2 tbsp cornflour
  3. 1/4 tbsp Baking soda
  4. 1cup Gram flour
  5. 1tsp Grated ginger
  6. 1/4 cup Rice flour
  7. 2 Green chillies (chopped)
  8. 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
  9. Chopped coriander leaves
  10. Salt
  11. Curry leaves (as per need)
  12. Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Take the finely chopped leeks, cornflour, gram flour,baking soda, rice flour,grated ginger, chopped green chillies, fennel seeds,curry leaves and chopped coriander leaves with enough salt.
  2. Mix everything well,sprinkle some water and turn everything as a thick paste. Heat oil for deep frying.
  3. Make small balls from the thick paste, drop gently to the hot oil, fry until they turns crispy and golden brown.
  4. Drain the excess of oil with a paper towel.
  5. Enjoy hot with a cup of coffee.
