ABOUT Tawa Chicken Burger RECIPE

Made the bun on a stove top, in a pan. Patty is made of chicken mince.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For the Bun - All purpose flour 1 cup
  2. Yeast 1/2 tsp
  3. Warm water 1 tbsp
  4. sugar 1 tsp
  5. Ghee 1 tbsp
  6. Salt to taste
  7. For the patty - Chicken mince 1 1/2 cups
  8. Bread crumbs 1/2 cup
  9. Onion 1 chopped
  10. Green chillies chopped 2
  11. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  12. Chilli powder 1/4 tsp
  13. Coriander powder 1 tsp
  14. Garam masala 1/4 tsp or less
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Oil as required
  17. Coriander leaves as required
  18. Topping -
  19. Cheese, onion and tomato slices
  20. Extra ketchup as per taste
  21. Mayonnaise as per taste

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in 2 tbsp of water, along with sugar. Keep it for some time.
  2. Prepare patty by mixing all the ingredients. Add bread crumbs and mashed potatoes. Make 4 patties. Shape them round and shallow fry them till golden and crisp on both the sides.
  3. The dough should have doubled. Take 4 balls of dough and place it on the greased pan. Cover and let rest for 1/2 an hour.
  4. On the gas, keep the pan with the balls on a stove top. cover it with a lid. cover the lid with a cloth, not to spill steam water on buns. Cook for 8 minutes. then open the lid, turn it & cook for another 4-5 minutes, covering. Take out when ready.
  5. To make burgers, cut the buns into two, if you like, you can toast it in a pan with some ghee, on both sides. Spread mayonnaise on one side,& ketchup on the other. Add slices of onion, tomato, lettuce, cheese, sprinkle some salt & pepper Serve hot.
