A Tasty Twist on Dessert. Fresh Fruit Cream with Hot phirni Spring Roll

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For the Fruit Cream - 2 cups assorted fruits
  2. ½ cup whipped cream
  3. For The Phirni - 5 tbsp rice, soaked overnight
  4. 1 litre milk
  5. ¾ cup sugar
  6. ½ tsp cardamom powder
  7. 10-12 pistachios silvers
  8. For the Spring Rolls -
  9. 8 samosa patti
  10. Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. For the Fruit Cream - In a mixing bowl, combine the fruits and whipped cream. Put it in the fridge to cool
  2. For the Phirni - Grind the soaked rice to a slightly coarse paste.
  3. Bring the milk to boil. Add the rice paste and mix well to avoid lumps. Simmer on low heat till the rice is completely cooked, stirring constantly
  4. Add Sugar and cardamom powder to it.
  5. For the Spring Rolls, Take a spring roll sheet or samosa patti. Spoon some of the phirni onto the sheet in a line.
  6. Roll into a cigar shape and seal with a little water. Repeat the process till all the phirni is used up
  7. Heat the oil in a deep-frying pan.
  8. In hot oil, deep-fry the spring rolls until golden brown. Remove and drain the excess oil on absorbent kitchen towels.
  9. Serve
