ABOUT Gooseberry Ginger Detox Drink RECIPE

Amla is known for its high Vitamin C content.Amla enhances food absorption, balances stomach acid, fortifies the liver, nourishes the brain and mental functioning. It also supports the heart functioning, strengthens the lungs, increases skin health and acts as a body coolant.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup of chopped gooseberries, deseeded
  2. 1 inch piece of ginger, peeled and chopped
  3. juice from 1 lemon
  4. 1/2 teaspoon black salt or regular salt
  5. sugar or honey to taste
  6. water to get the desired consistency

Instructions

  1. To make Gooseberry Ginger Detox Drink, combine all the ingredients in the blender adding very little water to get the desired consistency. Once you get a smooth liquid, add some more water and blend the smoothie once again.
  2. Strain the smoothie using a fine mesh strainer into a jug and discard the remaining pulp. Adjust the salt and sugar to suit your taste.
  3. Serve the Gooseberry Ginger Juice with some ice cubes.
