ABOUT Mixed Grain Dosa RECIPE

Inspired by this group and for the lunch of my kid who is a fussy eater

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup mixed pulses (Urad, Masoor, Toovar, Moong all in equal quantity)
  2. 2 cups of Dosa rice
  3. Multigrain flour (I used Maize, Jowar, Bajra, Gram ) 1/2 cup
  4. Methi 1 tbsp
  5. Oil for greasing tava
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Curd 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Soak mixed pulses in one bowl and dosa rice and methi seeds in another bowl for 6 hrs or overnight
  2. Next grind these separately adding water as needed.
  3. Now make a batter by mixing dosa rice batter and Pulse batter and Multi grain flour and curd together.
  4. Mix all nicely and make a thick batter (Not very thick) it should be of pancake consistency. add extra water if needed.
  5. Let it ferment for around 8-10 hours in a hot place or maybe for 12 hrs.
  6. Once fermented it will be almost 1.5 of the batter
  7. Now add salt to it and mix.
  8. Grease a Dosa tava or non-stick tava and heat it nicely, pour one ladle of batter and spread.
  9. Let it cook for 3-4 min now turn it and let it cook for 1 minute and its ready.
  10. Pack these dosas with some dip in your kid's lunch box or with spicy chutney in your lunch box. Healthy Dosa ready.
