Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan, when it's heated up add in the cumin seeds, asafoetida, ginger-garlic paste and saute it for 2 mins.
Now add in the besan and cook it for 2 mins until it becomes pink. Now add in all the spices mentioned above, then add in the methi (fenugreek) leaves.
For the dough, take the flour in a bowl. Add the oil and salt in it and mix it well.
Now add water as needed and make a soft dough. Let it rest for 10 mins by covering with a moist cloth.
To make the paratha, make a small size ball of the dough and flatten it by pressing it gently.
Take 2 tsp of filling and put it in, cover it properly and roll it out in a form of chapati.
Put it on a heated griddle and shallow fry with butter or oil as per your choice.
Serve hot with any chutney or sauce.
