Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Chana dal 1 1/4 cup
  2. Nutrela Badi 3/4 cup
  3. Salt to taste
  4. whole black cardamom 2
  5. Green cardamom 4
  6. Cinnamon crushed 1 tsp
  7. Garlic 6 buds
  8. Red chilli whole as per taste
  9. Cloves 4
  10. Jeera sabut 1/2 tsp
  11. Black pepper 10
  12. Tez patta 2 small
  13. Sabut dhania 1 tsp
  14. corn flour 1 tsp
  15. Onion chopped 2
  16. Pudina leaves and coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
  17. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Boil chana dal and nutrela in 3 cups of water.
  2. Give 3 or 4 whistles.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Peel cardamon and tez patta.
  5. Cool and make a paste.
  6. Add cornflour, chopped pudina &coriander leaves, onion.
  7. Add salt if required.
  8. Mix with hand.
  9. Make balls and press lightly with palm.
  10. Heat oil on non stick griddle.
  11. Fry on medium to low heat.
  12. Turn and fry the other side.
  13. Take out on a tissue paper.
  14. Serve hot with green chutney or sauce.
