Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Puffed rice 4 cups
  2. Jaggery 1/2 cup
  3. Water 1/2 cup
  4. Ghee little to grease your hand

Instructions

  1. In a heavy bottomed pan add the water and the Jaggery and bring to boil.
  2. Stir with a spatula and let the Jaggery dissolve.
  3. Now filter the melted jaggery with a strainer to remove any impurities.
  4. In the same pan add back the filtered jaggery water and bring to boil in medium heat until it thickens enough to get a pearl-like consistency when dropped in a little water.
  5. Turn off the flame, add the puffed rice to it and mix well.
  6. Let it stand for a min or two. Grease your hands with ghee or oil and quickly make medium size balls out of it.
  7. Let it cool down completely and store the puffed rice balls in an air tight container.
