The whole wheat banana chocolate cake is soft, moist and healthy. I have tried this cake in microwave mode and it came out so well. A healthy and tasty cake can be prepared without a convection oven.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Wheat flour – 2 cups
  2. Banana – 1 large size
  3. Sugar – 1 Cup
  4. Cocoa powder – 1/4 cup
  5. Oil – 1 /3 cup
  6. Milk – 1 cup
  7. Baking Powder – 1 tsp
  8. Choco chips – 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Peel the banana and mash well using spoon in a mixing bowl. Preheat oven to 150° C and grease the baking pan with oil and dust with little flour.
  2. Sift wheat flour, cocoa powder and baking powder. In a bowl whisk sugar and oil until sugar dissolves.
  3. Then add mashed banana to the sugar mixture and mix well. Add dry ingredients little by little and mix.
  4. Pour milk and fold gently. Once the batter comes to thick dosa batter consistency, add choco chips and give a quick mix.
  5. Pour the batter into prepared pan and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let it cool completely on wire rack. Invert, slice and serve.
