ABOUT Eggless Banana Chocolate Cake RECIPE

You'll love every morsel of this moist, chocolaty, delish loaf cake with lovely flavour of bananas. It is incredibly soft due to bananas. Serve it plain or with ice cream.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  2. ¼ cup whole wheat flour
  3. ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder (sifted)
  4. 1 teaspoon (scant) salt
  5. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  6. 3 very ripe big size bananas
  7. ¾ cup castor sugar
  8. 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  9. 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  10. ¼ cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Line the bottom and grease the sides of one 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Puree the bananas in the blender. Empty in a large bowl.
  3. Add sugar, oil, vanilla essence and stir till well combined.
  4. Whisk together first five ingredients in a large bowl.
  5. Make a well in the center. Add liquid ingredients.
  6. Mix gently till you get a smooth batter. Do not over mix.
  7. The batter should be a little runny. If it is thick, add 1 - 2 tablespoon of milk.
  8. Fold in chocolate chips.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour or till the top is firm and a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Remove from the oven and remove from the pan after 5 minutes.
  11. Cool in the rack. Slice when cold or next day for a deeper flavour.
