Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. 2 cup wheat flour
  2. Water as required
  3. Milk solids 1/2 cup
  4. Grated coconut 1/4 cup
  5. Powdered sugar 2 tsp
  6. Dry fruits as per choice

Instructions

  1. Firstly take wheat flour in a bowl and knead the dough by adding water.
  2. Divide the dough in half and add a pinch of red colour in one part of the dough.
  3. Now take the milk solids in a pan and heat it on a medium flame till it becomes brown in colour.
  4. Let it cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Now take milk solids, dessicated coconut, powdered sugar, dry fruits and mix it well and prepare the filling.
  6. You have 2 kinds of dough. One is plain dough and the other is red in colour.
  7. Make separate rotis with the two kinds of dough.
  8. Run the knife to get long strips of the roti. (Do this to both the rotis)
  9. For a mesh by placing the cut strips of the roti (As seen in the image). Keep aside.
  10. Make another plain roti and put the prepared filling on it. Place the prepared mat on this and press it from all sides.
  11. Heat the pan and cook properly from both the sides. Apply ample butter.
  12. Serve hot.
