Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup Poha (Pressed Rice)
  2. 2-3 medium size boiled and mashed Potatoes
  3. 1/2 cup Chopped Spinach
  4. 3/4 cup Chopped Onion
  5. 2 tbsp All-purpose flour (maida)
  6. 2 tbsp chopped Cilantro
  7. 1 tbsp green chilli
  8. Ginger Garlic paste 1/4 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  10. Red chilli powder 1/4 tsp
  11. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  12. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  13. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  14. 1 tbsp oil + some for shallow frying
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Lemon juice to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak the poha for about 10-15 minutes. Heat oil in the pan.
  2. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, green chilli-ginger-garlic paste, chopped onions and saute. Add all purpose flour (maida) and mix.
  3. Add poha and mashed potatoes, mix well. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and stir well.
  4. Add chopped spinach, salt, lemon juice and cilantro.
  5. Turn off the stove. Let it cool down for a while and mix well.
  6. Divide the mixture into portions and shape each into a cutlet.
  7. Shallow fry all the cutlets with some oil on the pan on medium heat till golden brown from both sides. Serve them with ketchup or any kind of chutney.
