Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Maida/Flour - 1 cup
  2. Powdered Sugar - 1/2 cup
  3. Milk - 1/2 cup
  4. Oil - 1/2 cup
  5. Baking soda - 1 teaspoon
  6. Chocolates - 80 gm
  7. Cocoa powder - 2 teaspoon
  8. Chocolate Essence - 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients except the baking soda in a container. Then melt the chocolate and add it to the batter. Beat or mix the batter (all the ingredients) well together.
  2. Preheat the oven or cooker.
  3. Mix the baking soda with water and mix it with the batter. Once again, mix the batter.
  4. If the batter becomes thick, add a little water and mix it well. (Don't keep the batter outside for a long time as we have added the baking soda.)
  5. Bang the batter container so that the air comes out. Put a coat to the (another special) cake container. (For coating you can use the butter paper.)
  6. Pour the batter from a height. Keep the container in an oven or cooker and cook for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Your chocolate sponge cake is ready. Let it cool down. (Note: The cake is of 1/2 kg. )
  8. After cooking take the cake out and cover it with a cloth from the top and let it cool. Cut the cake into half after cooling and put golden syrup on it.
  9. To prepare the golden syrup, take 6 tbsp of sugar and 8 tbsp water in a pan. Boil it well, then let it cool and freeze it. Use accordingly.
  10. Take the cream in a bowl and beat it till it's thick, apply it on the cake in between where there's a cut in between. Join both the cakes by putting one on other. Apply cream from all sides, do this quickly before the cream melts.
  11. Take the icing bag and nozzles and decorate the cream with different designs and colours. Put it in freezer and take it out before you cut it.
  12. Cut the cake and enjoy.
