ABOUT Baked Brie with Sakhar Amba (Mango Preserve) and Plums RECIPE

Warm gooey cheese topped with a sweet Mango preserve (Sakhar Amba) and tangy fruits, this Baked Brie makes for a delicious appetizer to share with friends and family. This indulgent snack is very quick to make, since it uses a ready to use Mango preserve (Sakhar Amba). You can alternatively top it with any other fruit compote, jam, chutney or onion relish and nuts of choice. Serve Baked Brie with Sakhar Amba and plums, with slices of crusty bread, crudites or crackers.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 wheel Brie Cheese (250 grams)
  2. 2-3 tablespoon Sakhar Amba (Mango preserve)
  3. 1-2 fresh plums, cut into pieces
  4. 1-2 tablespoon Chopped nuts (Chironji, walnuts, pistachios, almonds, pine nuts etc)
  5. Pinch of black pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180 deg C.
  2. Remove the cheese from its cover and place it on an oven safe serving dish or baking tray with the rind.
  3. Top it with the sakhar amba and plum pieces.
  4. Sprinkle little pepper on it (if using).
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes or till the cheese is soft
  6. Serve with slices of crusty bread, crudities or crackers.
