ABOUT Cheesy Pull Apart Samosa Pizza RECIPE

Hello friends am back again a unique recipe and am sure you all will love it. It so happened one day I wanted to have samosas for dinner and my little munchkin denied to have them saying that its junk food. Instead she wanted to have pizza. To this I told pizza equally falls under junk food category. Poor girl all the excitement in her face vanished in a second. She told ok then make something with cheese may be a pizza samosa. The name was new to me but i wanted to give it a try. The design for pizza was adopted from Google images and I really dont know the who created design but whosoever it is I really appreciate his/her work.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For the pizza base-
  2. 3 cups wheat flour
  3. 1 tbsp yeast dissolved along with sugar in half cup of lukewarm water.
  4. Salt to taste
  5. For Filling-
  6. A cup of boiled and chopped potatoes,carrots,beans and green peas.
  7. 1 onion finely chopped
  8. A tsp each of ginger and garlic
  9. A tsp of crushed coriander seeds.
  10. 1/2 a tsp of chili powder
  11. 1/2 tsp of dry mango powder.
  12. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  13. 1/2 tsp garam masala.
  14. Few coriander leaves finely chopped.
  15. 1 tbsp oil
  16. Salt to taste
  17. For pizza sauce-
  18. 2- garlic finely chopped.
  19. 1 Medium sized onion finely chopped
  20. 3 ripe tomatoes chopped
  21. A tbsp of tomato ketchup
  22. 1 tsp chilli flakes
  23. 1 tsp Mixed herbs.
  24. 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  25. 1 tbsp oil
  26. salt as needed

Instructions

  1. First we will make pizza base. For the base in a clean glass bowl seive wheat flour and add in salt. Mix yeast and sugar in lukewarm water and let it prove.
  2. Once yeast proves add it to the flour and knead it. Add extra water to form dough if needed. Now keep this dough in a warm place to prove. I kept it in my oven for about half an hour.
  3. Now by the time dough is resting lets make the filling.In a pan heat oil and saute onion and garlic till they are pink. Now add in all the spice powder and the boiled veggies. Cook for some time adjust seasoning and add chopped coriander.
  4. Let this cool for some time.
  5. Next we will make pizza suace.In a pan heat oil add in onions and garlic saute it and add tomatoes
  6. Once tomatoes are soft add in tomato ketchup and cook it further for few mins add chili flakes,mixed herbs and adjust salt.
  7. Now lets assemble the pizza.After half an hour your dough will be ready. The dough will double.
  8. Punch it down and knead again by dusting little flour and roll it down. Cut it in circles.Grease a non stick pan.
  9. First add prepared or store bought sauce,followed by little grated cheese and then the filling. Fold it as seen in the pic given and place it in the greased baking pan.
  10. Repeat this till the whole process till the pan is filled.
  11. Now bake this in a preheated 160 degree oven(convection mode) for about 35-45 mins or till cooked.
  12. After 35 mins sprinkle some grated cheese and let it melt over the pizza. Every oven as different temperature settings so check in between.
  13. Serve this warm with your favorite dip.
