Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Cornmeal / Polenta - 1/2 cup
  2. Greek Yoghurt - 1/4 cup
  3. Potato - 2 (Boiled and mashed)
  4. Green Chilli - 2 (finely chopped)
  5. Grated Ginger - 1/2 tsp
  6. Ground Black Pepper - 1/2 tsp
  7. Whole Cumin seed - 1/2 tsp
  8. Whole black cumin seed - 1/2 tsp
  9. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  10. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  11. Rice flour - 2 tbsp
  12. Besan / Chickpea flour - 1/4 cup
  13. Salt - as per your taste
  14. Chopped coriander leaves - 1/3 cup (optional)
  15. Onion - 1/4 cup (optional)
  16. Oil - for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Take polenta and yoghurt in a bowl.
  2. Mix well and rest for 15-20 mins.
  3. After resting period take mashed potato and all of the ingredients includes the mixture of cornmeal and yoghurt (except oil) in a bowl.
  4. Mix everything very well.
  5. Grease your palm with little bit of oil.
  6. Make a small ball first, then roll into a cylinder shape. **You can also make like a normal ball shape.**
  7. On the gas put a heavy bottomed nonstick pan with generous amount of oil.
  8. Drop those potato balls or fingers into hot oil. Keep the flame on high.
  9. Fry until they turn into crispy and golden brown from all the sides.
  10. Absorb the extra oil with kitchen paper towel.
  11. Serve with your favourite sauce or as it is.
