ABOUT Caramelised banana in rum sauce with vanilla ice cream RECIPE

A quick dessert with heavenly combination of banana caramel and rum with a dollop of vanilla icream.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Bananas 2 (cut lengthwise and then half)
  2. Butter 2 tbsp
  3. Brown sugar 1 1/2 cups
  4. Dark rum 1 tsp
  5. Salt a pinch
  6. Cinnamon powder 1/2 tsp
  7. Vanilla ice cream 2 scoops
  8. Little water

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a skillet.
  2. Add bananas and gently flip them to coat with butter for about 1 minute.
  3. Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar on top of the bananas .
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and add rum. Mix well.
  5. Put the skillet back on heat and add salt and cinnamon powder.
  6. In another pan, make caramel with the remaining sugar and very little water and while it's runny pour it over the bananas.
  7. Serve hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
