ABOUT Tomato and Cauliflower Masala Dosa. RECIPE

Tangy Tomato chutney is spreded with Cauliflower, Capsicum , french beans and little Cheese.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For dosa.
  2. Rice 3 cups.
  3. Mixed daal 1 cup.
  4. For Tomato spread
  5. Tomatoes 500 grams
  6. Onion 1
  7. Garlic crushed / grated 10 cloves.
  8. Ginger grated 1 tbsp
  9. Green Chilli paste 1 tbsp
  10. Red chili powder to taste.
  11. Sesame seeds roasted 1 tbsp
  12. Coriander leaves chopped 1 tbsp
  13. Butter 1 tsp
  14. For vege stuffing
  15. Cauliflower grated 1/2 cup
  16. Capsicum chopped fine 2
  17. French beabs chopped finely 1/2 cup.
  18. Butter 1 tbsp
  19. Cheese grated 1/2 cup.
  20. Salt to taste
  21. Pepper powder 1 tsp
  22. Coriander leaves chopped 1 tbsp.
  23. For green chutney
  24. Coriander leaves chopped 1 cup
  25. Coconut grated 1/2 cup
  26. Roasted bangle gram split 1/4 cup
  27. Green chillies 2
  28. Salt to taste.
  29. For sambhar
  30. Tur daal cooked 1 cup
  31. Onion 2 chopped
  32. Tomato 2 chopped
  33. Salt to taste
  34. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  35. Red Chili Powder 1 Tsp
  36. Sambhar masala 1 tsp
  37. For Seasoning
  38. Oil 1 tbsp
  39. Asafoetida a pinch
  40. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  41. Methi seeds. 1/4 tsp.
  42. Urad daal 1/2 tss
  43. Curry patta few
  44. Dried red chili 2
  45. Cloves 4 no.
  46. Dry mango powder. 1 tsp.
  47. Coriander leaves chopped 1 tbsp
  48. Oil for making dosa 1/2 cup.

Instructions

  1. Soak rice and daal for 5 to 6 hrs.
  2. Grind and keep in warm place for fermentation for 6 to 8 hrs.
  3. Blanch tomatoes.
  4. Blend without adding water
  5. Heat butter . Add chopped onions.
  6. Saute for a minute and add garlic , ginger, green chilli paste.
  7. Add red chili powder, Add sesame seeds.
  8. Cook, make a thick paste.
  9. Add chopped coriander leaves. Let it cool.
  10. Stuffing.
  11. Heat butter, add chopped Onions, saute a while, add Cauliflower , Capsicum and French beans.
  12. Stir fry. Add salt and pepper.
  13. Saute for 3 minutes. Add coriander leaves. Keep aside.
  14. To make sambhar.
  15. Heat oil, add asafoetida, mustard seeds, Cloves, methi seeds.
  16. Add urad daal. fry for a minute.
  17. Add dried red chillies too.
  18. After it splutter add onions. Saute,
  19. Add turmeric, chilli powder, sambhar masala.
  20. Add Curry leaves . Add chopped tomatoes. Saute and let it cook a while. .
  21. Add cooked daal.
  22. Now add salt. Adjust masala.
  23. Add dry mango powder. Boil and add coriander leaves.
  24. Your sambhar is ready.
  25. For chutney.
  26. Blend all the ingredients mentioned above to make chutney.
  27. Check your batter. Add salt and make the batter to the consistency needed for dosa.
  28. Keep your Tomato spread / chutney and stuffing ready.
  29. Heat dosa tawa/ non-stick griddle.
  30. Spread oil. Pour a laddle full of batter.
  31. Apply Tomato spread on it.
  32. Now add the stuffing. Spread grated cheese.
  33. Fold your dosa. And serve with sambhar and green chutney.
