Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Grated paneer - 2 cups
  2. Grated raw mango - 1 cup
  3. Finely chopped green chillies - 1
  4. Finely chopped ginger - 1/2 tsp
  5. Spring onion greens - 2 tbsp
  6. Cornflour - 1 tbsp
  7. Maida - ¼ cup
  8. Soya sauce - 2 tsp
  9. Chilli sauce - 1/2 tsp
  10. Oil - for frying the balls
  11. Seasoning:
  12. cooking oil - 2 tbsp
  13. Garlic - 5 cloves chopped
  14. Green chilli - 1/2 tbsp
  15. Ginger - 2 tsp
  16. Onion - 3/4 cup very finely chopped
  17. Spring onion greens - 1/4 cup
  18. Soya sauce - 1 1/2 tbsp
  19. Chilli sauce - 1 tbsp
  20. Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  21. Sugar - 1 tsp
  22. Salt - to taste
  23. Cornflour - 2 tbsp mixed with 1/4 cup of water
  24. ingredients for garnishing:
  25. Spring onions - 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Take grated paneer and grated mango in a bowl, add finely chopped green chillies, spring onion greens, ginger, cornflour, soya sauce, chilli sauce. Mash it nicely and make balls.
  2. Make even sized balls out of it. Now heat oil in a kadai and fry just 1 ball and see. If it breaks, mash it, mix well and make balls.
  3. Deep fry the balls until golden brown. Remove the balls from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, add garlic, ginger and green chillies. Saute for a few minutes.
  5. Then add onions and saute until onions become transparent. Add spring onion greens, soya sauce, chilli sauce, pepper powder, sugar, salt needed and saute on high flame for a few seconds.
  6. Reduce the flame, add the paneer mango balls at this stage, mix well until well coated with the sauce and switch off the flame.
  7. Garnish with spring onions, and serve hot.

saras....nice variation...Will definitely try. btw...have you missed the step of adding cornflour to the dish for making the required gravy?
