ABOUT Pasta biryani RECIPE

This is a yummy fusion dish made using macroni pasta and rice with lots of vegetables.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Basmati rice 1 cup
  2. Macaroni pasta 1 cup
  3. Onions 3
  4. Capsicum one big
  5. Carrots 1/2 cup
  6. Sweet corn one fourth cup
  7. Oil 2 tbsp
  8. Pasta sauce 2 tbsp
  9. Saffron strands 1 pinch
  10. Milk 2 tablespoon
  11. Ghee 2 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Boil the macaroni with double the quantity of water till 70% cooked..Add some salt and oil.
  2. Drain and keep aside.
  3. Chop onions in thin slices and fry in 2 tbsp oil till it browns.
  4. Cook rice till 70% cooked and drain.Keep aside.
  5. Soak saffron strands in 2 tbsp milk.
  6. Take a tbsp of oil in a pan.Add chopped vegetables and saute till half cooked.
  7. Add cooked pasta.
  8. Add 2 tbsp pasta sauce and sprinkle 2 tbsp pasta masala.
  9. Give a toss and switch off gas.
  10. Take a cooker and add a tbsp of ghee.Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute.
  11. Add a layer of pasta.
  12. Now add a layer of rice.
  13. Sprinkle some saffron soaked in milk.
  14. Again add a layer of pasta.
  15. Add top layer of rice and pour a tbsp of ghee and rest of saffron milk.
  16. Now spread the fried onions all over.Pour half cup water from sides and close the lid of cooker.
  17. Let it simmer at low flame for 10 minutes and the pasta biryani will be ready.
  18. Serve hot and enjoy.
